Prevent map books from becoming tattered and dog-eared by using tabs or flags to mark the pages you visit most often. Write the names of the suburbs/places you need to find on the flag/tab. That way you'll find them quickly without a hassle – if your kids are sporty, writing the name of the turf, court, club or pool on the tab is also a useful reference.
Also great on holiday to mark your travel guide or the page in your novel before you fall asleep in the sun!
